Murphy Golf Simulators

Kansas City

Dimensions of the Murphy Golf Enclosure

We recommend a minimum 15′ wide by 17′ deep space with 10′ ceilings. Many people can get away with less space, but everyone is different. The best thing to do is to find the wall where the 10’10” wide Murphy will be secured. Find the center (5’5″) and come out 10’6″ from that center point. This will be the center of the hitting strip. Place a mark on the ground and swing a club to be sure you have room to swing comfortably. Keep in mind, that the decks are quite large. We cannot install in rooms with difficult access. We can go up or down steps, but not around any corners.

Do I have enough space for my Murphy Golf Simulator?

These are the overall dimensions of our unit. We do offer the 8ft model, but only recommend it to anyone extremely tight on space. The 10ft model allows for a much more immersive golfing experience. The 8′ unit is the same height and depth but measures 8’10” wide.

Most golfer’s swing and club heads will exceed the actual footprint of the unit in width, depth, and sometimes height. Therefore, a larger space is recommended.  The best thing to do is find the center point on the wall where the unit will be installed, then measure out from the wall 10’ 6” from that center point. This will be the center of the hitting strip. Place a mark on the floor and swing your driver to be sure you have room to comfortably swing. (Note: The hitting deck is 2.5” tall and you will be actually standing on the deck of the Murphy Golf Simulator and standing 2.5” higher.)
